Chaukori: Where Tea Fragrance Meets Snow Peaks
Perched at an elevation of 2,010 meters (6,594 ft) in the Berinag tehsil of Pithoragarh, Chaukori is shaped like a natural bowl surrounded by lush deodar woods, fruit orchards, and verdant organic tea plantations.
Unlike many other hill stations where the Himalayas are seen as distant silhouettes, in Chaukori the majestic Panchachuli group of five peaks (rising up to 6,904 meters) appears right in front of you. Every morning, the snow peaks illuminate in breathtaking crimson, amber, and golden hues as the sun rises over the Indo-Tibetan border.
