From Delhi / NCR (240 km • 5.5 - 6.5 Hours)

The road journey from Delhi to Rishikesh has been transformed with the operationalization of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway (NE-3) and the expanded NH-334 (Haridwar-Rishikesh Highway):

  • 1. Departure & NE-3 Entry: Start from Akshardham / Ghazipur border onto the 14-lane Delhi-Meerut Expressway (NE-3). Cruise seamlessly to the Meerut Bypass.
  • 2. Western UP Highway Corridor: Follow the Meerut Bypass -> Khatauli Bypass -> Muzaffarnagar -> Roorkee on smooth multi-lane toll highway.
  • 3. Haridwar to Rishikesh: Take the Haridwar Bypass (avoiding inner city railway traffic) past Motichur and Raiwala into Nepali Farm Junction, Rishikesh.
  • 4. Badrinath Highway (NH-58): Continue past Tapovan along the scenic winding mountain road toward your reserved campsite in Shivpuri, Ghattugad, or Mohan Chatti.
Recommended Food Stops: Namaste Midway (Mansurpur) and Cheetal Grand (Khatauli) offer pristine washrooms and multi-cuisine dining.

From Dehradun Airport & Haridwar Railway

Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport (DED) • 35 km (45-60 Mins)

Exit airport onto Dehradun-Rishikesh Road -> Rani Pokhari -> Bhaniyawala -> Nepali Farm -> Rishikesh -> Tapovan. Pre-paid airport taxi counter charges approx. ₹1,200 to ₹1,800 depending on your final camp cluster.

Haridwar Railway Station (HW) • 30 km (1 Hour)

The recommended and fastest driving route is via the 14-lane Delhi-Meerut Expressway (NE-3) starting from Akshardham / Ghazipur. Follow NE-3 past Meerut Bypass onto NH-334 through Khatauli, Muzaffarnagar, Roorkee, and the Haridwar Bypass directly into Nepali Farm Junction, Rishikesh (total distance ~240 km, driving time approximately 5.5 to 6.5 hours).

From Tapovan: Ghattugad is 8 km upstream; Mohan Chatti is 15 km along Neelkanth Road; Shivpuri is 16 km upstream along the Badrinath National Highway (NH-58); Marine Drive is 26 km; and Kaudiyala is 30 km.

Standard check-in is at 12:00 PM (Noon) and check-out is at 10:00 AM. All adult guests (18+) must carry and present an original valid government-issued photo ID such as an Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driver's License, or Voter ID. In accordance with Uttarakhand tourism regulations, PAN cards cannot be used as valid proof of residential address.

Jio and Airtel provide excellent 4G and 5G mobile network coverage across Shivpuri, Tapovan, Ghattugad, and Kaudiyala. In deeper forested mountain pockets like Mohan Chatti, Jio offers the most dependable signal, while Vi and BSNL have intermittent coverage.

The Badrinath Highway (NH-58) between Rishikesh, Tapovan, and Shivpuri is a wide, well-maintained all-weather national highway equipped with reflectors and safety crash barriers. However, if you are driving to mountain valley sectors like Mohan Chatti, we recommend arriving before 8:00 PM to easily spot entry landmarks in daylight.

Dehradun Airport is approximately 35 km (45 to 60 minutes) from Tapovan and Shivpuri. You can book an authorized prepaid taxi directly from the official airport counter (approx. ₹1,200 to ₹1,800 depending on car type and destination sector) or request a private CIR transfer during booking.

From Haridwar Railway Station (30 km), you can hire a private taxi (~₹1,200 - ₹1,500) or take a shared Vikram auto-rickshaw/UTC bus to Rishikesh bus station. From Yog Nagari Rishikesh Railway Station (12 km), local auto-rickshaws and cabs can take you directly to your campsite approach point.

Early check-in from 8:00 AM onwards and late check-out up to 2:00 PM are offered subject to room turnover schedules. If your tent is being cleaned upon arrival, you are invited to relax in the dining lawn, use changing washrooms, and enjoy morning tea or breakfast.
